Reference was from a picture I took of my friend Danny facing the Maroon Bells mountain in Colorado during a 2018 backpacking trip to Colorado. We made our way about a 4th of the way up this mountain then had to turn around because the snow was up to our waists. One of the first watercolor paintings I ever painted.
